A word about SIZE.....Savannahs are NOT the huge cats portrayed on Animal Planet or some websites; most of the very large cats (usually F1's) you may have seen on TV or websites on the internet have been filmed or photographed in a way to make them appear much larger than the very small children they are seen with.  A few F1 female and F2 male Savannahs can get quite tall, but the majority of Savannah cats are the same weight and size as other domestic cat breeds.  Savannahs can appear to be "bigger" than other breeds because of their long legs, lean body mass and tall upright ears.  Maine Coon cats are a bigger breed of cat than Savannahs.  We do not focus on weight or size of our Savannahs, since health, type and temperament are much more important to us, as it should be to you.  We cannot predict how large a kitten may grow to be as an adult.  Savannahs tend to grow and reach their full size and maturity at about 3 years of age.  Don't ask us how tall or how much our individual cats weigh because we don't know......:)  Do ask us how much fun they can be and how owning a Savannah will change your life forever!
